Genesis 22.
The gate of the ancient city of Dan dates back to the Canaanite period, which included the lifetime of the patriarch Abraham. It is unique in Israel, being characteristic of Mesopotamian architecture. The archaeologist Avraham Biran named this site ‘Abraham’s Gate’ because Dan is mentioned in Genesis in the context of Abraham’s battle to rescue his nephew Lot.
In Sight photographs are available for purchase as warm-tone archival prints mounted ‘floating’ over their matching quotes (Hebrew – English); framed in dark African Wenge recessed wooden frames.
