In all of Creation, humanity is unique in encompassing both the spiritual and the physical. Only G-d has the power to bring together the incompatible elements of body and soul to form a being who dwells in the natural world yet transcends its limitations.

This photograph of my own fingertips was taken using a technique pioneered by Semyon and Valentina Kirlin in 1939. Electrical discharges from metal plates are used to create images of auras and have long been associated with evidence of the soul residing in the body.
