35 Pasture

G-d is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Psalms 23

During his years as a shepherd in the wilderness, King David learned to trust in G-d and follow His pathways. The green pastures and still waters of the psalm are more than descriptions of the physical landscape; they represent the spiritual state of complete faith that G-d would always be with him.
