Psalms 1

Psalms 1 is a song of praise for the righteous man who avoids the company of sinners and scoffers. His reward is to be imbued with the knowledge of G-d, like a tree planted near abundant water. While the deeds of the wicked are chaff blown away by the wind, the righteous are well-watered trees, putting forth green leaves and good fruit, continually renewed and productive.
